The Best Mexican Gaming Studios in 2025
As a Mexican American, it always stung me that despite our undying love for gaming and being the largest Hispanic group in America, we are grossly underrepresented in major games.
But I am really proud of one thing, instead of considering ourselves as victims and blaming the world for not showing our culture, we instead decided to be the change that we wish to see in the world. How? By starting our own gaming studios.
Today, there are numerous gaming studios in Mexico, all playing a huge role in enhancing Mexican representation in gaming. Their games are playable all over the world, especially in the US.
As more Hispanic gamers enter the gaming scene, industries like internet service providers in the US have begun to acknowledge the need for Spanish-language bilingual customer support. Moving on, as a proud Mexican, I feel compelled to bring the contributions of Mexican gaming studios to light, and hopefully inspire any youngster wishing to break into the industry.

Xibalba Games Studio has been in business for over two decades and is among the pioneers of game development in Latin America. The company was founded in 2004 and focuses on delivering quality experiences for mobile, PC, and console gamers. The studio has created some of the most engaging, innovative, creative, and fun-packed original games that have made waves at an international level.

Their branch, Kokonut Gamxs, is an indie game development studio that has been in business for over 14 years. It has a rich portfolio featuring a wide range of entirely independent games as well as advergames and commercial titles.
The company has a special knack for innovation, always experimenting with new and emerging tools and technologies to level up gaming experiences even more. They have original games with dedicated websites, as well as games on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
